Aug. 2nd, 2020 12:08 pmClive the cat hates me. It's the only possible explanation.
I broke my ankle at the end of June when I tripped over him and fell down the stairs. He likes to wind in and out of your feet when you're walking.
He doesn't like the crutches, and I'm still not exactly an expert at maneuvering around the flat on them. Which is how I managed to trip over him again last weekend and go ass over tit on the kitchen floor. Thankfully this time there were no stairs to fall down but the floor wasn't exactly soft as I landed it on it. Nothing broken, the cast protected my ankle. But I did manage to sprain my wrist as I tried to brace my fall. And one of our cupboards is going to need a new door - I'm guessing one of my crutches went slamming into it.
I've been super immobile over the last week - as you can imagine, using crutches when your wrist is strapped and braced is... kind of not possible. Tally couldn't get the time off work, and neither of our sets of parents were able to come and stay with me because both Leicester and Greater Manchester are locked back down again (and that's a whole other stress right there that I'm not ready to process yet)
I'm getting to be able to type again, resting it has definitely kick-started the healing but this post is starting to make it ache again. I know I've still got at least one
sunshine_challenge post to write, plus there's fic I want to write and I need to catch up on your posts.
I'm hoping usual service will commence next week - I just wanted to check in and let you know why I've been missing a few days. It's because the cat hates me... either that or my journal name really should have been bloodyclumsy!
