Joey. 28, bisexual, demisexual, theoretically poly, cis-female, liberal, white and English. She/her. I live with my girlfriend Tally and our cat Clive. I really love baking, cooking, dancing, knitting, cats, historical fiction and would love to be able to time travel. I'm super into gratitude, mindfulness, wellbeing and work for my local NHS Mental Health & Wellbeing Team which helps me fight my own battles with anxiety, panic attacks and depression.
I'm a voracious reader and a history nerd - especially Tudor & Elizabethan England, both fiction and non-fiction. Some of my favourite writers include Alison Weir, Philippa Gregory & Hilary Mantel. I have some interest in the industrial revolution, the victorian era and would love to know more about the ancient world. I'm also curious about tarot, horoscopes and divination. I grew up as a member of a congregational church and have a complication relationship with God.
I have a completely unexplainable passion for disaster and apocalypse movies, the current world situation is giving me an interest in epidemiology and I've always been fascinated with aliens and UFOs. I'd probably be quite the sci-fi geek if I let myself - although I would run away with the Doctor in the TARDIS in a heartbeat!
My favourite colours are green & silver, my favourite flower is a sunflower, my favourite is mint and my favourite season is autumn. I love fresh flowers, warm bread and scented candles. Mani/pedi's make me happy. I need sunshine like I need oxygen.

Date: 2020-07-19 11:08 pm (UTC)I also have an interest in tarot. I find comfort in predicting my future—it gives me confidence to push forward when I'm struggling. It doesn't even matter to me if it's real or not (though I'll admit I tip toward believing), it's the idea behind it that I search for. It's funny, I also believe in horoscopes because I think people definitely become what their horoscope says they are, but I don't buy the 'this is your horoscope for today' stuff you'll find on the internet or a newspaper—it tends to be wildly off any time I've ever checked. Seems to be a ripoff, unfortunately. It's just not possible to guess someone's day when you're guessing for so many people at once. Tarot are more reliable because of it being a prediction that pretains to you and you alone. That's why I trust it more.
