Prompt 4: Green
Green is a rich color that is associated with a variety of things including: awakening, growth, renewal, productivity, intelligence, exuberance, prosperity, money, luck, envy, greed, survival, nature, spring, and birth.
Green is the prime color of the world, and that from which its loveliness arises. —Pedro Calderon de la Barca
Green can be the fresh growth of spring plants after a long winter. Green can be the good fortune waiting for you around each corner. What green things have you enjoyed this year?
Please feel free to answer in whichever way comes naturally to you, be it a memory you share or an artwork you create. If you’d like a more specific idea to kick things off: share with us some books or fanworks that remind you of the color green or its related themes.
For your regularly scheduled history/art nerding - Green was the color commonly associated with wealth, merchants, bankers and the gentry, and if I remember correctly, that's why da Vinci's Mona Lisa is wearing green, and why the seats in the House of Commons are green.
Fandomwise, my first reaction is the Doctor Who serial 'The Green Death' which is one of the first Classic Doctor Who episodes I ever saw. I don't know if it was a repeat or my dad had a copy or what. But it's a Third Doctor story from the 1970s: When a dead man is found glowing bright green at an abandoned coal mine, UNIT and the Third Doctor travel to the South Wales town of Llanfairfach. Convinced that pollutants from the nearby Global Chemicals are responsible, the Doctor faces opposition from the company director Stevens, the mysterious BOSS and deadly giant maggots...
Also River Song's eyes are green.
There's also the green of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber.
On a more personal note, green is my favourite colour and has been for as long as I can remember. My childhood bedroom was green (still is, unless my parents have decorated it in the last couple of months) and its one of the colours I wear predominantly. If I had my way, pretty much our whole flat would be green - sadly, Tally disagrees (but the kitchen has hints of green at least!). For me, it indicates balance, harmony, stability and growth, and it recharges me.

Your talk about the green bedroom reminded me of this Youtuber lonefox who did his room in greens in such a lovely way. Here's the link if you like:
