Finger Lickin' Good

bloodydemonicToday I have mostly been grateful for pain medication - my doctor has me on quite a cocktail of painkillers, anti-inflammatories and something to ease my stomach from taking those. Combine these with the sleeping tablet I had to take last night, and I've felt all day today sleeping, feeling a groggy and out of sorts. I've not been the best Joey I could be, sadly.
Tonight we treated ourselves to a fast-food delivery. It's not something we do. I don't think we've done it since we first moved in together in January this year. But we ordered a KFC and had a bit of a feast - mini fillets, popcorn chicken, corn, fries, baked beans, and a bottle of Tango. Let me tell you, reader, it was wonderful.
We've also been talking about life after lockdown and, thankfully, are both on the same page about the easing measures coming in this weekend. Neither of us are in any rush to start going to shops, or pubs, or restaurants etc etc. We're both going to carry on as we have been for the last few months, and wait and see what happens over the next month or so. I'm expecting another peak, another wave, and I'm not risking it until we know if it's safe or not.
